Since the arrival of our daughter, I've found the need to prioritize my time... I was having a much
better time riding my dirt bike than riding the skis, and after about 5 years of skiing, I was nearing
the end of the 'fun' cycle for me with that hobby. So, I sold all the ski stuff and moved on. Just for
kicks, I've left the old page up.
Here it is:
I've been jet skiing for a few years now, and I'm still waiting to figure it out and get good at it... It's great fun,
and a great workout. I've tried sit-down PWCs, but they just don't do it for me. The stand-up is much more challenging to
ride, and as a result, is much more fun.
Here are our skis:
1998 Kawasaki Sxi Pro 750

This is the ski I ride. It is stock other than a Jet Dynamics intake grate and ride plate.
1993 Yamaha Superjet 650

This is the ski my wife Ann Marie rides. While on vacation in the outer banks the year before last,
I spotted an old JS300SX sitting outside of a shop and stopped to look. They had the Superjet around
back, and we ended up taking it home. It is stock, except for a ride plate and intake grate. I'd like to
put a pipe on it, but Ann Marie says it's fine as it is.
1992 Kawasaki JS650 w/750 engine - SOLD!

This was my the first upgrade over my old 440, and what an upgrade it was... The 440 was good to learn on, but
once I got the chance to ride a fast ski, I knew I wanted something faster. I really like the 650 hull (especially on
flat water), but I think I like the Sxi Pro better overall, so this ski has moved on to a new home.
1985 Kawasaki JS440

This was my first ski, but it has gone on to a new home now. I bought it in 1995, but only managed to
ride it once a year or so since I didn't have anyone to ride with. After becoming friends with the owner
of the local jet ski shop, he took me skiing a few times on a modified superjet. Not able to ride the 440
again after that, I ended up buying the 650/750 and using
the 440 to teach my wife, brother and other friends on. We got the Superjet for my wife, and my brother bought a couple
of 650s so it was time for the 440 to go. Other than the problems incurred after lending it to a friend, it
was a very reliable old ski.
